Tenets of Faith

​

This church receives the New Testament as an all-sufficient basis of doctrine and practice. As a summary of the principles for Christian living among its members, it adopts the following covenant.

We Believe …

…In one God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.

Dt. 6:4, Gen. 1:1-2, Mt. 3:16-17, Mt. 28:19, John 1:1-3

…In the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection,

and soon return.

…The Bible in its entirety, to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

…That anyone who will, can receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior according to Romans 10:9-17

and become a born again child of God.

…That The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ not only paid for our sins but also obtained

healing for our bodies and mental peace for our souls. Is. 53:3-5, Mt. 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24

…That water baptism by immersion though not required for salvation, was commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ and therefore must be sought by all believers. Mt. 28:19

…That the filling of the Holy Spirit is an additional gift every believer should request and receive.

…That every believer, as a member of the body of Christ, has a function and therefore must

be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. 1 Cor. 12:12-27, James 1:22
